The Journey of Labor (childbirth prep part 1)
Essentials for a More Easeful Birth (childbirth prep part 2)
This workshop covers all the basics that you and your partner need to know in preparation for labor and is useful in hospital, birth center and home birth environments. You will learn the signs of labor, milestones of the birthing process, options to consider, steps to take now in preparation for birth, and key issues to discuss with your doctor or midwife. You will practice proven comfort measures for managing contractions and, most importantly: how to access the power of these techniques (the missing component in many childbirth classes). This workshop provides a holistic perspective on birthing needed for those seeking a natural birth. However, the information gained in this class is also necessary and invaluable for those who need, or choose an epidural. Partners who take this workshop feel more empowered and learn proven labor support methods in order to participate more fully in this sacred event. Moms-to-be feel more confident and prepared for the journey of birth.
The information and techniques you gain in this workshop is derived from yogic techniques and many years honing what works best in support of laboring couples. This material is not covered in hospital-based classes. For couples 25+ weeks. Dress comfortably and bring a snack and water.

What new parents have said about our classes…
Having children from a previous relationship, I felt that I had experienced childbirth. I honestly didn’t think there was anything else that I could learn. This class opened my eyes; it became more about being a good partner for my wife. Looking back, I don’t know if I could have been as present as I was for our 24 hour labor, without this guidance. It was not an easy labor, one that could have easily ended as a cesarean, but we made it to the end with the natural birth that we hoped for because we were so well informed of our options. This class not only empowered us as a family, but ultimately strengthened the bond between me and my wife. ~Alfredo
I used so many of the pain management techniques, breathing techniques, etc. that you taught to us and I couldn’t have been happier with how the delivery went. The nurse was so impressed by what I knew as a result of being in your childbirth class. ~Christa
These workshops helped the stress and fear of having a baby fade away. The approach to the class instilled confidence in me as a father-to-be, and helped me feel strong and informed enough to support my wife through the birth, and beyond. ~David
I can’t tell you how much the breathing exercises helped me during the pushing part of labor. I was able to push him out after just 1 hour. Also, the pelvic exercises really helped me to avoid back labor. Your practice and all the services you offer are truly incredible. ~Grace
I've taken this birthing class twice, in preparation for both of my children. Each time the class was a huge help. Understanding the process and how to help as a husband and dad is priceless. I recommend this class to all dads who want to be prepared for the best day of there lives! ~James
These classes were consciousness- raising. The presentation normalized pregnancy and birth, taking away the fear and mystery that this time can bring. The specifics of the birthing process were covered, and many pain coping techniques were taught. I left with with a renewed feeling of empowerment and trust of my body to give birth. ~Carly
During my pregnancy, I would hear so many horror stories and conflicting information on breastfeeding that it scared me. Although it's completely natural, nursing your newborn can be challenging if you don't have all the right information. After taking this breastfeeding class, I understood how important breastfeeding is and how difficult it can be on a new mom in today's world. Being prepared for this challenge gave me the information and strength to exclusively breastfeed my son right from the start. ~Alanna
